Screen Goblin is built on a simple principle: your data is yours. This policy covers both the Screen Goblin app and this website (screengoblin.app).

The App

Screen Goblin is 100% on-device. We do not collect, transmit, or share any data from the app. Period.

  • No accounts required. You never sign up, sign in, or provide personal information.
  • No data leaves your device. Focus sessions, streaks, presets, schedules, and insights are stored locally on your device only.
  • No analytics. We don't use Firebase Analytics, Mixpanel, Amplitude, or any third-party analytics SDK.
  • No tracking. We don't use IDFA, fingerprinting, or any mechanism to track you across apps or websites.
  • No third-party SDKs. The app contains zero third-party code that could collect your data.
  • No data sharing. Nothing is shared with data brokers, advertisers, or any other third party.

Apple Screen Time Frameworks

Screen Goblin uses Apple's FamilyControls, ManagedSettings, and DeviceActivity frameworks to manage app blocking. These frameworks are privacy-first by design — they use opaque tokens so that Screen Goblin never sees which specific apps you use, only the categories and selections you choose to block. No device activity data is collected, stored, or transmitted by Screen Goblin.

App Store Privacy Label

Screen Goblin's App Store privacy label is "Data Not Collected" — the strongest privacy declaration Apple offers.

This Website

Waitlist Signup

If you join our waitlist, we collect your email address and store it in Firebase Firestore. This email is used solely to notify you when Screen Goblin launches. We will not sell, share, or use your email for any other purpose.

You can request removal from the waitlist at any time by emailing hello@screengoblin.app.

No Analytics or Cookies

This website does not use analytics, tracking pixels, or cookies. The only data stored in your browser is your theme preference (dark/light mode) via localStorage, which never leaves your device.

Hosting

This website is hosted on Firebase Hosting (Google). Firebase Hosting may log standard server access information (IP address, browser type, pages requested) as part of normal infrastructure operations. We do not access or use these logs.

Children's Privacy

Screen Goblin is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to This Policy

If we update this policy, we'll revise the "Last updated" date above. Material changes will be communicated via the waitlist email or on this website.
